Whether sharing magical folktales or deeply personal narratives, his stories are rich with humor, humanity, and wonder—ranging from silly animal voices with kids to heartfelt reflections on the issues that shape our times. At the heart of it all is one simple goal: human connection. You can hear one of Ben’s  enchanting stories at The Foundry Jukebox, alongside a chorus of other community voices. He is an associate member of the New England chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), a two-time Big Mouth Off Story Slam winner, and recipient of the 2021 Webby Award for Virtual & Remote: Arts & Culture at the 25th Annual Webby Awards. She started playing steel pan professionally at the age of 13 with her father, touring throughout the US and worldwide. As a steel band arranger, she has won six times in the Panorama Competition. Debra has also been a performer and lecturer on Holland America cruise lines, sharing Caribbean culture and the origins of steel pan and carnival.

Brassterisk: With one foot in the NOLA second line tradition, another in funky hip-hop crossovers, and the other in pop music detritus of the last few decades; Brassterisk transcends categories in the pursuit of a good time. Coming out of many different traditions, the players blend up into a tasty gumbo- a bit different each time, but always tasty.
